Kevin and I did wedding photography for Bo and Christina’s wedding last weekend. We were second shooters which means we worked on behalf of another company, in this case Alisha Khan Photography. For work/life balance we like to take on second shooting gigs every once in awhile to save on editing time. When you second shoot for someone else, you take the photos on the day but the company you are working for edits them. I was so in love with this wedding that I edited a few teasers which can be seen below (with Alisha’s permission).
Bo and Christina had their ceremony at Summerhill Pyramid Winery. The photos we took in front of the pyramid might be my favourite from the whole day. Next we took some photos at Bertram Creek Regional Park which is one of my favourite photo locations in Kelowna. Bertram has views of the lake, mountains, bluffs, forest and a large dock – tons of variety for a photo location. The day was finished off at The Lauren Packing House which is a great heritage venue located right downtown. My favourite thing about the reception was that Bo and Christina chose all Mexican dishes for their meals and even had a nacho cheese fountain. If anyone knows me, they know how much I love Mexican food.
Congratulations again Bo and Christina! We wish you many happy years ahead!
