Veronica: Ben and I first started talking the summer before my junior year at university. We got along instantly, and it didn’t take long for me to realize how happy he made me! Even though he was far away working in Canada while I was studying in the US, he made me feel so loved every day. Whether it be calling me while I walked home after work or making me laugh when I was overwhelmed with studies, I always felt how much he cared for me. When we met in-person at Mexico City for the first time, I knew right away that this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. Being with him felt like the most natural thing in the world and I couldn’t imagine how I ever lived my life without him. Having to go long distance again after that trip was extremely difficult, but we were soon reunited when I visited him at his home town in Canada. I was completely surprised when he proposed to me there, since it was so cold that day I was only focused on when we were going somewhere indoors! Ben is the most thoughtful, hardworking, and God-centered man I have ever met, and I can’t wait to be his forever.

Ben: I met Veronica on a Christian dating app, and I caught interest in her from the beginning. I love her for her honesty, self-confidence, and ambitions. But most importantly, I appreciate how well we were able to communicate together and the strong foundation we were able to build as a result. I’m able to be myself and express all my thoughts knowing she will listen and be very supportive. We decided to meet each other despite the pandemic. It was very hard, but after a year of constant trying it was the most amazing feeling when I finally met her! Even though we talked every day for a year long, I remember being very nervous seeing her for the first time. But it was the most exciting and heartwarming feeling to finally walk up to her to see and hug her for the very first time.
